To put an end to infrastructure rebuilt project by project and reduce operational risk across the portfolio, I defined One-Tag Deployment as a shared deployment standard, now used by around twenty applications.
From a single GitLab tag, a dedicated and isolated Google Cloud infrastructure is created in under ten minutes, with network, DNS, security, database, backups, disaster recovery and Terraform state. I designed the foundation to be variable-driven, replicated across a second region and aligned with ISO 27001 requirements.
Teams now deliver on a reproducible standard instead of reinventing each project's infrastructure, which lowers operational risk and speeds up releases. That foundation helped bring Skazy into the Google for Startups programme, with 200,000 dollars in Cloud credits attached.
