I rethought the digital platform of a New Caledonian media outlet facing heavy audience spikes during local events, without slowing editorial publishing.

I led the architecture and technical delivery, coordinating the frontend, backend, infrastructure and media services teams. I arbitrated a headless Drupal and Next.js architecture, multi-layer caching, a CDN and scalable cloud infrastructure, to reconcile availability, low latency and near real-time publishing.

The architecture held under real-world conditions during a provincial election night. Over seven months of operation, analytics recorded 507,871 users, 771,789 sessions and 900,327 page views, 65.8% of them on mobile.
